GITA has many opportunities for members to become involved in the association on a volunteer basis. Interested in learning more? Just look over the volunteer opportunities below and select the ones that interest you. We'll follow up with you to provide complete details. Time commitments vary from just a few conference calls during the course of the year to several face-to-face meetings annually. There's sure to be one that's right for you!

Annual Conference Committee
Plans all aspects of the spring event; meets twice a year; monthly conference calls

Education Committee
Plans seminars and other educational events; meets once a year; monthly conference calls

Oil & Gas Conference Committee
Plans all aspects of this fall event held annually in Houston, Texas; meets twice a year; monthly conference calls

Chapter Relations Committee
Reviews chapter relations issues; meets once a year; bi-monthly conference calls

Scholarship/Internship Committee
Selects Ed Forrest Internship recipients and qualifies Chapter Student Education proposals; business conducted via mail and e-mail

Industry Trends Analysis Group (ITAG)
Recommends long range goals/activities based on industry trends; meets at Annual Conference; needs-based conference calls

Organizing local chapters
Works closely with GITA headquarters to establish new regional chapters

Research Committee
Identifies and conducts short- and long-term research projects on behalf of GITA
